Kim Givler

I graduated with my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Idaho State University in 2009, following a clinical internship in spinal cord injury and neurologic trauma in Cape Town, South Africa. Upon graduation, I moved back to my home-state of Montana and have been working as a PT in the outpatient setting in the Flathead Valley ever since. With advanced training in manual therapy skills including spinal manipulation and dry needling, specialized training in the management of persistent pain and neurologic trauma, and multiple strategies in assessment and treatment of athletes, my treatment style is diverse and focuses on empowering patients in their care, tailoring my treatments to their goals and activities.

I’m a strong believer that every body is unique, and my passion is in problem-solving with my patients, working together as a team to get your body to achieve your goals. I love the problem-solving that comes with each unique person and their individual factors and goals. I love studying human movement, and helping people optimize their movement. Whether your goal is to get yourself out of your chair by yourself or to run through the mountains, to pick up your child or grandchild or to throw sandbags in an obstacle race, to get up the stairs or climb a mountain, I’m here to help you figure out how to get your body to move in the way you need it to. This often involves manual therapy, to get the right parts moving, combined with specific training activities to teach your body how to keep those parts moving.

As a mountain enthusiast, I know the importance of doing the things you love. When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll find me in the mountains running, hiking, rock climbing, and skiing.
